PREEMPTIVE_XE_CALLBACKEXECUTE
Internal use only. A pre-emptive wait in the eXtended Events interface.
Detailed Description
SQL Server The Extended Events architecture enables users to collect as much or as little data as is necessary to troubleshoot or identify a performance problem. Extended Events is configurable, and it scales very well.
Extended Events are replacing the deprecated SQL Trace and SQL Server Profiler features
The PREEMPTIVE_XE_CALLBACKEXECUTE
wait will be seen when the session is interrupted to send information to related eXtended Events.
How to reduce this wait
This is a common wait to see as monitoring and auditing use this method to collect data but the actual wait time should be very low. Bugs were seen in 2012 and earlier versions so if you observe high wait times, log a call with Microsoft support.
