Additional Information​
The active state will be shown when the query is being executed in the backend and is a normal database activity. Further information should be looked for to identify what activities are actually performing in the backend if a problem is suspected.
How to reduce this wait​
If an activity is being waited on, the wait_event_type and wait_event fields in the pg_stat_activity view will show help identify what is happening
